The Deaf Pride Club was started in January, 2005, by two local Deaf
women, Beth Houston and Jeannie Bulgin, with the
cooperation and support of the Independent Living
Resource Center (ILRC).
Beth and Jeannie decided to start the group to give Deaf, hard of hearing,
and hearing people a chance to get together and socialize.
They thought that a club would be a great way for
people to know what was happening in the tri-counties.
More than 50 people came to the Deaf Pride Club's first social event,
at Starbucks Coffee. Beth and Jeannie are planning
many exciting events. If you want to learn more,
or if you want to volunteer to help plan events,
please contact them!
You can contact Beth by sending e-mail to beth@deafprideclub.com. Jeannie's
